The Monkey Zoo is amazing, not much more to say... Dont go to Tenerife without popping in here

I am so pleased to see the positive reviews of the Monkey Park. I myself live in Tenerife and the Monkey Park is literally on my doorstep. My husband and I visited it in March and I was overwhelmed. What a fantastic place, never have I been to a zoo where you could be so free with the animals. There are various species of monkeys which you can be with in the numerous cages and I fell in love with them all. You must visit this place and take along fruit for the animals. The zoo sells a mixed bag of seeds and other dried stuff, but you will get much more pleasure taking fruit such as bananas, oranges, grapes and even tomatoes as the monkeys will love it.

In addition to the cages you can visit, with no pressure on time as it is usually very quiet, there are many species of monkeys in cages which you can also feed through the bars. There are also guinnea pigs (lots of) birds, mainly species of parrots, panthers and reptiles.

Please visit this park, although I understand why some people hope it remains a secret, but it needs visitors so remember to pay a visit next time you are in Tenerife.

We decided to visit this place after reading reviews on here and were not disappointed! We were worried it wasn't still around as hadn't seen any info about it when we got to Tenerife and when we asked about it at our reception desk they were trying to put us off. They recommended the Jungle Park which we didn't want to go to as we have been to so many places like this before. They describe the Monkey Park to us as "10 monkey in cages, looking sad and it being very small". We still decided to go however and were very happy we did. It was wonderful, there is no other place when you can actually touch and feed the monkey and they are so so so cute. All the animals are very friendly.... We loved it! There are lots of different types of monkey, chimps, bird, lizards, lemurs and Jaguars! We were baffled that the hotel reception gave a very inaccurate description. Definitely go............but I also do hope it doesn't become extremely popular............

When i went to tenerife we wanted some thing to do which didn't cost more than 50 euro like most things and we came across a brochure about this monkey zoo and it was only 10 euro each so we decided to go not expecting much but it was the best zoo i've ever been too didn't realise how close to the monkeys you get you have to visit if you're in tenerife
