We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Sandestin. We stayed at the Sandestin Golf and Beach resort in the Luau I which was beachside. Our family consisted of 4 adults and two children. The two bedroom, two and 1/2 bath condo was very spacious and looked brand new. We were told this is the newest property on the resort and is about 8 months old. It was only a short walk to the beach. We had a corner unit on the 8th floor with a balcony which gave you an overall view of the Luau
parking lot, other villa's, and the ocean in the far distance. As others suggested, we also went to Publix and stocked up on breakfast and lunch items. This made it convenient to have lazy beach days. We enjoyed eating out at night and usually did so at the Baytown Wharf area. Our favorite meal there was at a place called Jim N Nick's BBQ. They had these wonderful cheese muffins that were served while you were waiting for your dinner. We also enjoyed the ferry shuttle over there. Overall, we were there from Wed. - Sun. and it went by so fast. The next time, we want to stay longer. There's so much to do and not enough time to do everything. Of course, the best part was the beach. The white sand really does look like sugar and the water is so blue/green and clear. I thought this was the prettiest beach I'd seen in the United States. We have vacationed before in the Caribbean and I thought this beach was equally as beautiful. We can't wait to go back and I'm having Sandestin withdrawal now.
