This hotel may be a little dated but it is a great value for the location. The hotel is within walking distance of the national mall, there are 4 metro lines just downstairs, and one of the sightseeing "hop on, hop off" buses will pick you up and drop you off in front of the hotel. If you are planning on doing a lot of sightseeing, this is a great place to stay. The only drawbacks are that the hotel is located amongst government office buildings so no neighborhood restuarants or shops nearby. Also the lack of a coffee maker or refrigerator in the room was a drawback. We ate in both the cafe and the lobby lounge and had good food and great service. The clientele in the lounge was a mix of business travelers and local professionals. That made for some interesting people watching. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is interested in a comfortable stop in your sightseeing adventure.
