I was excited to stay becasue it was so close to everything. I did not realize this hotel was an older hotel. The lobby was nice, but the pictures made the hotel seem contemporary, newer, clean...
The lobby and pub were nice. The pub bartender gae my boyfriend a drink and completely forgot about mine. Not a good start...

The rooms were ok. They need updating. The wallpaer in teh bathroom is peeling, the tiles should be re-grouted. The carpets need a good cleaning as does the furniture. The bed was confortable and the bedding was cozy.
In the Am housekeeping kept trying to come in -- check-out wasnt until 12 and she started banging on our door at 9.

Proximity to everything was nice. A metro downstairs. The smithsonian mesuems within walking distance.

Although this hotel isn't near any restaurants, the Metro is directly below the hotel, and you can go anywhere in the city. Located close to the Mall and a short walk to the monuments and smithsonians. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel restaurant average, but expensive. Room was clean, although no coffee maker. I've stayed at this place other times and haven't had any problems. The only problem was that they did away with the minibar.

I stayed here for business at the suggestion of a co-worker. It was okay. The location was good as far as getting around since it sets on four of DC's metro lines, one of which is a direct line to Reagan National. If you are looking for somewhere central to restaurants and the sights it is not. While it is walking distance to the mall, that is about it. There is nowhere to eat other than the hotel cafe which is not good and very pricey. The room was okay, a little dated but comfortable. There was an issue with the housekeeping however, when asked to clean the room all they did was make the bed and replace the linens. I was there one week and the sheets were never changed and sometimes neither were the glasses. They also often left used linens in the room. It was not the luxury hotel it claims but it was sufficient for the week.

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. It is directly above the L'Enfant metro stop, which is on the orange, blue, yellow, and green lines. You do not even have to walk outside to get to the metro station. The hotes is also within walking distance of the Mall and the Monuments.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and the pub were a bit overpriced but the food and service was great. There are not alot of restaurants around the hotel.

Our room was modest but we loved the feather pillows and comforters. We had a great view of the Potomac River. The hotel was quiet and there was always plenty of hot water and clean towels. Our room service breakfast was reasonably priced and arrived on time. The decor of the rooms is a little outdated but the stay was comforable.

I would definitely stay here again.
