I was here for a conference in October 2007, so I wasn't here for the ski season. That said, this hotel is in a great location, walkable to lots of restaurants and things to do.

We had a one bedroom suite that included a pull-out couch in front of the fireplace in the living room. Since there was two of us, it worked out great since the bedroom door provided lots of privacy and had a view of the balcony overlooking the village. The bed was absolutely huge and very comfy with a TV on the opposite wall.

There was a small kitchen, if you needed to cook anything, as well as a dining table for four. The suite reminded me more of a small condo, with a very homey feel. I wouldn't call it spacious, but it was enough room for us. Too bad the US dollar is dropping so fast in value!

Stayed at the Mountainside during the last week of February and were very pleased with the hotel. As others have already commented, its main attraction is the location as both the Whistler & Blackcomb gondolas are literally 20 metres from the hotel door and you can ski right back down to the same place....after this you will never consider getting on a ski bus again ! There were 3 of us staying in a studio room and whilst not the biggest I have ever stayed in the kitchen area was very well equipped and the sofa bed ok - the two beds in the bedroom were very comfortable...so I was told ! The only dining facilities available in the hotel are in the Dubh Linn which serves cooked breakfasts and does a good lunchtime meal. They also show all Premiership footy matches. We also ate in Monks, Rics & Earls which were very good (Earls was very reasonably priced and showed the ice hockey so had a good atmosphere). On our last night we visited Quattro, an Italian restaurant and again excellent food. The hotel also has an outdoor heated swimming pool and several hot tubs where you have a great view of the ice & fire show. A good hotel which we would visit again.

Just returned from "snow" drenched Whistler. We chose the Pan Pacific Mountainside mainly for its location and we were not disappointed. The Blackcomb and Whistler Gondolas are just outside the door. We were very happy with our condo, very clean and the facilities in the kitchen were excellent, although we did not get to use them much. The bathroom looked a little tied compared to the rest of the accommodation, but was pleasant and clean with plenty of hot water. We were lucky to have an upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom apartment!

Not only is this hotel well situated for the lifts it also well situated for the shopping and restaurants in town. Ric's Mix serve a mean Mojito.

We will definitely return to the Pan Pacific Mountainside.

From the moment we checked in we loved this hotel. The valet took all our luggage to the room then took our ski's down to the ski locker on the bottom floor.

We had a studio room with the pull down Murphy bed, and like others can vouch that it is 100% comfortable. The kitchenette was first class and the appliances put our own at home to shame. Bathroom although not massive was perfectly ample.

The real sweetner was the hot tubs that look out over the bottom of the slopes. A good hint is to get out there on Sunday night before the Fire and Ice show. You can sit in the hot tub with a beer and have the best view of all the action. It has a lovely steam room, gymnasium and pool also

With it's location you literally walk out of the front door and you are at the ski lifts and start of the village main street. You could physically ski to the doorstep if nobody got in your way!

The Irish bar underneath the Hotel has a great atmosphere and live music. Although they are slightly more pricey than most other bars in Whistler.

We would definately stay here again.
