Arrived at Hotel Orquidea about 1.30pm only 10/15 minute journey from the airport. Booked in and were given room on first floor overlooking the buliding work at back of hotel. Hotel Orquedia is a wicked hotel. We met so many people there which had visited the same hotel loads fo times and by spending 2 weeks there realised why they keep going back. The rooms are huge. just got back from this hotel, and what can i say, it was excellent, the food was very good , rooms are very big and the view excellent. The entertainment was second to none, Big D , Jamma,Princess Kerry & Boogie Ben were fantastic, plenty to keep you ocupied all through the day. would reccomend this hotel to anyone. more

The Orquidea is a quite decent hotel, but if you're wanting a nice quiet rest around the pool sipping a cocktail or two, you'll be in the wrong place here. After returning for our 5th year in a row, we was very happy to see the refurbishment to the hotel, it looked great and the reception staff was as good as ever. However, the dining room booking system and the quality of the food this year was aweful and even to say rubbish. We had to eat out most nights.... more
