The Anse Chastanet is a lovely place. Its secluded location is great for a peaceful holiday. The beach, particularly in low season when we visited, was very quiet. You could often shut your eyes and only hear the sound of the waves - there was little noise from other guests. The service at the restaurants was superb - attentive, prompt,... more

It was wonderful to be at a small resort. No fighting for lounge chairs at the beach, no stress at all. I don't imagine that we'll ever going to a large resort again. The arrival to the resort was handled well. We were given a complimentary upgrade since we had initially booked a standard room. It was a nice surprise... more

Just returned from St. Lucia, August 2008. We (5 couples 45 to 64 in age) stayed at Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain resort for 10 days. I must preface my comments. None of us had been to St. Lucia before; our primary reason was to SCUBA dive. We have traveled around the world SCUBA diving. We found the diving to... more

My wife and went returned to Anse Chastanet for a week after a five-year absence. Our first trip was for our honeymoon. We requested and received the same room (5D) as part of the "lovers' early bird" package. Anse Chastanet is still excellent and many of the staff remembered us. Our room was the same as five years ago with... more

We booked three nights at Anse Chastanet and two nights at Ladera (see Ladera review) for our first vacation by ourselves since our daughter was born a year ago. Coming from someone who is so used to living in air conditioning, Anse Chastanet was a big shock to the system, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We received ground transport through... more

We returned to AC 3 years later! It is still a lovely, unique property. We stayed in a hillside room 3D and really enjoyed our "room in the jungle" overlooking the pitons. All the rooms are very unique and built with natural products and local wood. No air conditioning, phones, faxes, or TV's! Just the two of us - with... more

My husband and I spent seven nights at Anse Chastanet, and upgraded to Jade Mountain on the last night. This vacation was worth every penny! It was truly perfect and I cannot say enough good things about this resort. It is the "anti-resort resort" meaning that there is nothing tasteless or overstated here. The food is healthy, interesting, and delicious.... more

My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic week in Anse Chastanet in July 2008 and woud return again in a heartbeat. It exceeded our expectations and thoroughly lived up the reviews seen here. We had a complimentary transfer arranged for us by our travel agent in the UK (Trailfinders) and right from the start we knew that we were in... more

Anse Chastanset is the most unique and authentic hotel experience I have ever had. My boyfriend & I did our research (thank you TripAdvisor) and finally decided that despite the price tag, this would be a truly special place for us to visit. We were right. Anse Chastanet proves that it's the little things that make a hotel stay special.... more
