My first impression of this place was one of horror. It isn't in the greatest of neighborhoods, our family of four got hit with a $10 per person cover charge before even making it up the stairs, and once we finally got up the stairs we were greeted with a dark, run down bowling alley, bar, and small music stage.... more

This place is nothing special also if you plan on going to this place there is no need to buy tickets for the music, if you get there before 8 pm. Which the web site does not tell you, in fact it takes you directly to a site to buy tickets for the concert but when you walk in you... more

As a looooong time patron of Rock n Bowl ...I know there is no better place to listen to Nawlins music and soak up the fun than Rock n Bowl. Always a great time ...New Year's is awesome ....and don't miss John singing Auld Lang Syne at midnight !!! As a Nawlins native now in BR (courtesy of THE STORM),... more

Great time with New Orleans performer Tab Benoit on New Years Eve. He is an incredible blues guitar player and singer with touches of country, zydeco, even a little soul. I guess he got his start at the Rock N Bowl 18 years ago so even though he is a successful recording artist , he remembered where he came from.... more

This place is an original! I would advise folks to call ahead, the newspaper listing about zydeco night turned out to be swing dance night. There is a dance school right next door and after lessons, the group trouped up there to practice. It was worth it even though I had hoped for zydeco. Taking a cab is a good... more

Great music. Dancers that won't stop. One guy I saw never missed a dance through the whole set. When the band took a break he danced himself into the rest room. We come back whenever we can. No comment on the bowling lanes, did not go 1000 miles to bowl. more

You can go and just listen to music, but not to bowl a few rounds on these shabby, retro '60s lanes is to miss out on some incredible fun. Arrive early, or you'll have to put your name on a waiting list and check back every 45-60 minutes to see if a lane has opened up. (You may have to... more

We caught a cab from Fiorella’s in the FQ and headed to Mid City to the Rock n Bowl for Zydeco night. I had seen Geno Delafose before there and was very excited to see him again. This is one of the places I never get tired of and love to come here for an authentic New Orleans experience. There... more

Living in Pensacola, Fl. we have visited New Orleans Many times! We also have been to Rock-n-bowl several times and have wonderful memories of hearing some great bands. From the few negative reviews...well just look where they are from..enough said. To really appreciate the blues, you have to let it creep into your soul. It makes you happy and sad,... more
