Wailua Falls is located shortly before you reach the Pools of Ohe'o beyond Hana town. We had to walk to the falls because they were finishing a brand NEW road to the falls. It really is breathtaking and spectacular. A real gem of a place. You can walk to the top of the falls a bit scary -- just past the danger signs after the lookout. more

These falls were used in the opening scene of the “Fantasy Island” television show. You have to drive on a little road (580) with lots of potholes between sugar cane fields for about 4 miles to find the falls, but they are definitely worth the trip.
