We wanted to get off the beaten path on Vancouver Island with our 12 and 10 year old kids and this trip sounded like just the ticket. I was concerned about the hassle factor, being that it was quite a drive from the Ferry terminal (Nanaimo) to Telegraph Cove and an early day the next morning to take this trip.... more

We had a wonderful 3.5 week tour of the West Coast of America and Vancouver Island, saw many wonderful sights but this was the best of all the high points of our trip. Tide Rip Grizzly tours from Telegraph Cove was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. If you want to see bears in their natural habitat then go with Tide Rip tours. We spent a fantastic day touring with Tide Rip on September 4, 2008. There were some potential issues explained to us at the beginning of the tour, which turned out to be unimportant.
