We went there for Christmas and the place was so dirty I could hardly stand it. You can't find a ash tray at all. The help seems to be hidden and the money machines are always broken down or out of "Service". No one was picking up empty cups etc. We went to the buffet for dinner and I couldn't... more

Just went to the new MGM Grand in Detroit. I have to say it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I have attempted to file a complaint and keep recieving the run around. There service in general is horrible. I waited over 2 hours to get help from valet for my car that was blocking traffic in... more

Nov.12, 2008 Visit to MGM Detroit: 1. No Clamato Juice for Ceasars 2. No breakfast after 10:30 3. Mail offer for $10.00 free play they said was a mistake 4. The biggest insult, I tried to tip the cashier with a loonie and she slid it back to me and said they couldn't change it. I mailed a letter to... more

Have been to MGM many times. Again, staff was very good overall. Security is very informed and friendly. Only ongoing complaint is slot people are hard to find and locate!!! Had a great steak at Wolfgang Pucks. Was told someone hit for over $1 million at dollar Wheel of Fortune on July 4th. Again a nice secure place to have... more

Date - April 3-5, 2008 Reviewer: K. Brown We checked in on Thursday for two nights in the city, used the complimentary valet parking, and found the service and security exceptional and well blended. The new hotel and casino architecture is contemporary art deco with stone and fabric decor displayed in cool hues to enhance the calming effect and make... more

WOW! What a wonderful weekend. My Husband and I spent 2 nights here and were very impressed with everything. The Staff was so friendly and courteous. I did not find any staff member uninformed. They went out of their way to make this the best weekend ever. We loved Stephanie at the front desk and Makisha the Concierge. Both ladies... more

Slots are extremely tight. Seems the odds are just as poor here as the temporary facility. Suggest you try Motor City Casino. more

Slots are tighter than tight, the buffet is horridly gross, $17 dollars for a vodka and 7 and a martini at "Agua", and horribly rude staff. Casino not as nice as one would expect after what was spent. Did not feel safe going into a "broom closet" to use a bank machine. The biggest joke was seeing the over priced... more

We are from southeast MI. We made a reservation for a Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary and the agent was very nice. However, the MGM hotel was more expensive than the stunningly gorgeous and well managed Venetian in Vegas. Our room was not ready at 6 pm, check in is 3 pm. The tv did not work. Called for... more

I was the target of some blatant age discrimination throughout my experience. Looking young is generally good, but not at this casino. I suppose there must be some large liability issues at stake with underage gamblers (less than 21). I'm 24. more
