St. Vitus Cathedral, a gorgeous gothic structure that overlooks all of Prague, is well worth a visit. It is located on the Prague Castle grounds and you and both getting to it (by walking through the grounds) and going inside is free. Within, you will find some gorgeous stained glass windows, including one done by the famous Czech Art Nouveau... more

St. Vitus's Cathedral was the highlight of my trip to Prague and the most beautiful cathedral I've ever been in (surpassing Notre Dame as my previous favorite)! I visited St. Vitus during my recent trip to Prague; several things to update since the previous reviews: 1. The cathedral is no longer included in the... more

This Cathedral was much like any other (but then i have had the luxury of viewing some stunning European Cathedrals). So if you like them you will enjoy this. It is really the only part of the Hrad complex worth seeing (apart from Golden Lane)! The stained glass is fabulous, for those who like that kind of thing. the enourmous... more

I would strongly suggest paying extra for the photography privilege. There is enough light inside for flash-less shots and the stained glass windows are stunning, particularly the Mucha. The tower ascent is brutal but also recommended. The view is incredible. A word of warning, however, to those visitors from countries in which (how do I put this delicately?) personal hygiene... more
