As soon as you step onto the cobblestone streets of Old Town and arrive at the Old Town square, it literally feels like you've just travelled back in time hundreds of years to a completely different era. The cobblestone streets, narrow alleyways, gas-lit laterns, churches, building facades, colours, and their reddish-clay rooves will just blow you away. Going up the... more
The STAROMESTSKE NAMESTI (The Old Town Square in Historic Prague): People watching is fun and makes our trips and pictures interesting, especially at the Old Town Square where you’ll see folks from every part of the World. Prices can be high at cafes and pubs along the square, but it doesn’t hurt to have a sit and enjoy one or... more
We went through Old Town Square several times on our two day trip, on our way here or there. I enjoyed it most at night. Everything was lit up and there were still people everywhere. The buildings are all so pretty and there were plenty of shops, cafe's, and ice cream places. Plan a stroll through here at night and... more
Wonderful archetecture, amazing people, entertainment, food at every turn. You could spend a day just exploring! There was too much beauty and goings on to describe it all. A great place to hang around for the afternoon! more

I really liked the Chuch of Our Lady of Tyn, and thought it looked beautiful at night. We visited during the Christmas Market season,... more
There is not much to see here. Definitely see the clock. Also see St. Nicholas' Church for a small donation. Also check out the medieval courtyard at the opposite end of the square from the clock. There is little else to see here and not really any reason to spend time after seeing these sights. However, the shops and restaurants... more
Just back from the market, not the greatest but the atmosphere was wonderful and worth the trip, The cobbles all around the area mean boots or trainers are the required footwear move away into the small winding side streets for the very best in food and beer prices. The whole area was safe well into the evening just be mindfull... more
Its well worth experiencing Old Town Square. Make sure that you explore all the streets around and find all the nooks and crannys - there are some fab bars and shops to be found away from the main tourist areas. Food and drink on the square is expensive, and you don't have to go far to find more authentic fare.... more
