We booked the Nature Cruise with Real Journeys and left Te Anau at 7am to join the 10.30am cruise. The weather leading in to the Homer Tunnel was grey, wet and overcast enough to question if it was worth continuing but we had pre-booked an internet price so we decided to continue. One of the highlights of our New Zealand holiday was definately the one day trip to doubtful sound. After crossing the lovely Lake Manapouri, the coach journey over the pass to Doubtful Sound was fasinating. Here's what you can expect on your NZ$215 day trip with Real Journeys: Imagine a ton of people crowding on to a boat. The benches have signs saying "6 people to a table", but of course only 4 can actually fit, so you may find yourself without a seat.
