The lake is so different at different times of the same day, not to mention on different days. Those postcards or internet pictures were no exaggeration. Ah! the photos! I saw the photos that a traveller from Alabama has posted and sighed. We were there in March 2005 and have almost the same photos. if there is a nicer place that Lake tekapo it will be something else. I agree with evrything the write said. Imagine a postcard setting. That is what you will find at Lake Tekapo in the Mackenzie district of New Zealand.
