The Anne Frank Huis is a moving and interesting museum. We arrived fairly early, at around 10am, and got in straight away without queuing. The most interesting thing is to see the size of the rooms and how very dark they would have been with the blacked curtains hanging. It makes your heart beat faster when you step up behind... more

After having heard so much about Anne Frank but never reading the book, my curiosity of history got the better of me and I headed to Anne Frankhuis. Queued up for a little while, maybe half an hour. Didn't go on a tour but learned a lot from what other people in the museum were chatting about. The stairs in... more

Just basically repeating what has already been said here, its an absolute must. The museum is set up in a way which gives you a real insight into what life was like at the time for both people inside and outside of the secret annex. A very moving experience. more

We were very surprised at how well the Ann Frank House was done. We feared an exploitative and overly commercialized misuse of the house of the story of Ann Frank, but the exact opposite was true. The exhibit was very intimate and done to perfection. The presentation utilized modern methods to convey the maximum amount of information while somehow managing... more

Simply put, this is a one of a kind experience. And a profound one at that. To think Nazis once walked the streets outside of this house...chilling. With added video footage from the documentary "Remembering Anne Frank" this is not really a museum but an amazing and vivid living memorial. Haunting, moving and quietly intense, the Anne Frank House is... more

I visited Anne Frank House around 11am on a Tuesday, Sep.2008 and there was a short line outside. I guess not peak season but the wait couldn't have been more than five minutes. You can choose to go as fast or slow as you like but I suggest go at a slow pace and take it all in. Take the... more

A truly remarkable and unforgettable experience....I highly recommend to read (or at least browse) through Anne's diary before you visit the museum. And do book your tickets in advance! The museum was very moving. You will see the photos that Anne herself tacked on the wall. The stove, the kitchen sink are still there. But no furniture. All were consficated... more

Pleasant, helpful chap on reception. It was my 3rd visit and as it was the height of Summer so we went at 7pm when there was no queue ( It was open till 10 pm).Sad but informative. Found the height marks of the growing children particularly sad, just as you go into Anne's room. Blinds are down to preserve the... more

I visited Anne Franks House in Amsterdam this August. It is well worth the visit - 1 tip - book on line before you go because the queues are huge - if you book on line you go straight in at your cosen time. more
