A visit to Casa Batlló is like travelling in a natural, imaginary and absolutely different from everything world!!! Gaudí was a genious, and I would say this is one of his outstanding masterpieces... 100% gaudi!!! The entrance ticket is a bit expensive, but it's really worth the visit. more

Yes, it is (ridiculously) expensive, yes, it is small, but you can't afford to miss this. I'd say La Pedrera is a house with a Gaudi touch, whereas Batllo is totally Gaudi's universe. Very colourful, fantastic shapes and every detail has been thought through. 5 stars minus 1 for the entrance fee. more

It was a bit pricey to get in (particularly after you factor in the exchange rate - oof!), but it was really neat inside. The walls and decorations seem to "drip" - no right angles here. The tile work and glass were really interesting, particularly the "courtyard" inside and the roof (make sure you look at the fancy "dragon's spine"... more

After seeing the €16.50/person entrance fee, my fiancee and I had to really pause and think about how much we wanted to see Casa Batllo. In the meantime, we walked 2-3 blocks up the street to La Pedrera, another much bigger Gaudi apartment building from the same decade where we had an easier time with the €8/person entrance fee. The... more

This is an AMAZING building. I kind of zoomed through and then went back and started again! At first some of the commentary on the audio player seems boring but by the time I had been round I was hooked and listened again but with my full attention! I also loved Casa Mila but in this building the most amazing... more

Before I went to Barcelona in 2004, I asked a friend who had lived there what are the must-sees. He said, "Everything Gaudi." I must confess, I had no idea who or what Gaudi was. When I found out that it's all about architecture, I basically lost interest. I arrived Barcelona at night and met up with a friend of... more

Casa Batllo was really the highlight of my trip, along with La Sagrada Familia. I didn't even know it was open for tours and only expected to see the facade. But the tour (while expensive - 16 euro for the inside, courtyard, attic and roof) was phenomenal! I think it's better than Casa Mila, certainly more whimsy, more fantasy. Expect... more
