If you are in Barcelona, you have to see the outside of this building even if you hate it. You get out of the metro, turn around, and in front of you is a building that looks like nothing you have ever seen. It is immense, made out of stone, and it literally looks like it is melting onto you.... more

The photos your friends show you don't do this truly amazing church any justice. If you arrive by metro, you step out onto the street where you meet the long queue of people waiting to get in. The queue moves quite quickly and soon you enter the surrounds of the church. There's an option to hire a listening guide but... more

An amazing building, still being constructed. Very hard to describe, you don't have to be religious to appreciate this magnificent church. The detailing of the building is exquisite. Although it’s not finished, they don’t build things like this anymore! I think you have to see it to appreciate it. You can get off the tourist bus here to have a... more

This is unlike anything I have ever seen. It is still being constructed, orginally designed by the famous Gaudi. It is huge, you should walk the complete circle around it so you can enjoy every different view. Then of course, go inside. Just passing this on a tour bus doesn't even come close to doing it justice. It is has... more

I just love touring antiquities, particularly churches. I was really looking forward to seeing Sagrada Familia, but was disappointed once I was inside. It really is a grand sight, towering above the city. But it's just way too modern for my tastes. It's been under construction since 1882 and continues to this day. It is scheduled to be completed in... more

This is, of course, a must-see. We really enjoyed the guided tour (in English), by a lively, well-informed guide, which gave our visit extra depth. more

It is definitely a must see, no one stays indifferent to it. But I agree with some of the opinions that to really appreciate it, you must reserve at least half a day for it. To be there early, walk around it, go inside, climb it's towers, see the view, its unforgettable. Afterwards you go to Avenida Gaudi, where there... more

After visiting the church (allow one full shift because of the long lines), don't miss the museum. As it is located in "the back" of the church, you have to remember to go to it! The section dedicated to the elements of nature that inspired Gaudì is amazing. more

Sagrada Familia is a little away from the center but a must for any visit to Barcelona. It opens around 9am and I would strongly recommend getting there just that early to beat the crowds. I went on a Sunday and there was no one there yet even a little after 9am. There are audio guides available for 3.50€ and... more
