I think any attraction that is half built would normally be considered very cheeky indeed charging 10 Euros for a look around... I think if you decide to pay and enter, you very likely consider Gaudi a genius and also reason that his final project should be completed... I reason that my 10 euros is going towards this goal, and... more

The 'Warning'-review below is quite ridiculous, as everyone knows the Sagrada Familia is a work in progress. They're not renovating it, they're building it! That being said, the inside is not very impressive at the moment, but you do get the feeling of being part of history. Remember, some of the most famous churches in the world took centuries to... more

well. where to start. a truely ugly piece of architecture if i do say myself. yet. it still leaves an impretion in my mind. i think the sheer size scale does this alone. huge, huge building. whether you class it as a church or cathedral, i dont think its fitting of either decription. rather than taking on a religious focus,... more

We visited the Sagrada Familia on 20 Aug 2008 and paid 10 Euros each to go in - only to find the entire interior is one great big building site as major renovations are currently underway. We're not just talking minor works here - the main section of the interior is entirely filled with scaffolding/tower crane columns and at floor... more

Be aware that there are two elevators to the towers. When we were there they had a huge line for the elevator by the entrance. I asked the guard about whether we needed a ticket (no, you pay on the elevator) and he told us to try the one on the other side of the temple. There was no line... more

This church is a little bit out of the old town, but a metro stops immediately across the street. Gaudi's work is incredible, and nothing like what I had pictured. The new side of the church...well, was not my favorite, but still interesting. The entrance is on the new side, and when you enter, a line forms to the right... more

we decided to visit this church as we had read lots of great reviews about it and we has been to the duemo in milan (also by gaudi) and really enjoyed it. however we were slightly disappointed by this attraction. there is no doubt about it that the building itself is absolutley stunning from the outside, however what left us... more

If you are in Barcelona, you have to see the outside of this building even if you hate it. You get out of the metro, turn around, and in front of you is a building that looks like nothing you have ever seen. It is immense, made out of stone, and it literally looks like it is melting onto you.... more

The photos your friends show you don't do this truly amazing church any justice. If you arrive by metro, you step out onto the street where you meet the long queue of people waiting to get in. The queue moves quite quickly and soon you enter the surrounds of the church. There's an option to hire a listening guide but... more

An amazing building, still being constructed. Very hard to describe, you don't have to be religious to appreciate this magnificent church. The detailing of the building is exquisite. Although it’s not finished, they don’t build things like this anymore! I think you have to see it to appreciate it. You can get off the tourist bus here to have a... more
