I would say my favorite works from the whole museum were the two large pieces of “The First Communion” and “Sickness and Charity.” They were very different from the typical Picasso works, but most of what is on display are small sketches or rough painting studies, etc. It is true that the museum is laid out mostly in chronological order,... more

If you're 'into' Picasso, you'll probably get something out of this large exhibition of his works. I came away unconvinced that he was anything other than a joker. I mean, he wasn't serious, was he? more

If you're a fan of Picasso, I would highly recommend this museum. While I was there (I am not sure if it was a permanent exhibit), they had almost all of Picassco's studies of "Las Meninas" by Velasquz. I spent at least an hour and a half just looking at all the different works there. It was truly was a... more

I enjoyed the Museum, especially the painting of the dove cote. One should be aware, however, that there is always a tremendously long queue to get in and you cannot take any photos once inside. The security staff did not hesitate to make this known to me, gesticulating, shouting and running towards me from all angles. You would think I... more

While the museum itself is good its not that which I want to focus on in this review; its actually the museum's own restaurant/bar! With the museum set down a nice quiet backstreet in the gothic quarter it alread has itself a brilliant location; slightly off the beaten track yet still accessible to tourists. This makes relaxing in their restaurant... more

I wouldn't recommend this museum unless you're a die-hard Picasso fan or art enthusiast. Compared to the artwork we saw in Milan, this was a disappointment. My wife and I are by no means art connoisseurs and weren't familiar with Picasso's work, but we felt like we should check it out since we were there. We found both the artwork... more

I cannot understand negative reviews of this Museum. I have been there three times now and the policy of changing some of the exhibits makes it a new experience every time. So I shall go again sometime. Compared to the Paris Picasso Museum you get to see a lot more early works. Ideally visit both! more

I like some Picasso, but this museum contains all the bits that are of no interest, except to art students more

This is a fascinating museum with focus on very early works of Picasso and his growth as an artiste. The museum building is stunning with a great mix of old and new. I had booked the free guided tour on line and that made all the difference. The guide was very knowledgeable and takes you around the museum in a... more

Having been to the Museu Picasso in Paris before I was a bit dissapointed. Has many works and a detailed history of Picasso's life but few if any of his more famous works. more
