I just came back last night from my vacation to Madrid. We had decided to visit Toledo while we were there. I didn't know what to expect and I stood in awe and amazement for about an hour. Very beautiful cathedral. Unfortunately for us in June 2004 when we were there it was under construction and much of the church was off limits. Do check out the Musuem de Cathedral across from the entranceway. They have cheap yet good buys on souveniers. They even have tapas recipe books in various languages. more

Lets just put it this way is saw many cathedrals and churches on my trip, and this was only second to St. Peters in Rome. Do not miss this Cathedral it is amazing! more
