Loro Parque was started with just parrots (and still keeps a fine collection) but now offers aquarium, penguinarium, sea lions, dolphins, and orcas (killer whales). There will be mixed feelings about captive orcas and other animals trained to do tricks, but the park participates in conservation programs and is a good day out (€29 at 2006 prices).
