The Royal Palace is still reserved for the use of the heirs of Spain's Royalty. We tried to visit the Palace in the afternoon, to discover that it was being used for a party and was closed to the public. 1/2 of the Palace is still the private quarters of the Royal Family. Almudaina Palace on Mallorca was originally a Muslim palace, converted to gothic by King Jaime II. Perched on an escarpment, Almudaina Palace affords visitors a sweeping view of Palma Bay.
