First thing - make sure you arrive well before 8.30 if you want a good seat. If you find that all the decent seats are already taken, then position yourself at the back of the room, directly facing the front of the stage - when proceedings start, you can slip behind the seats and stand on a step - giving... more

If you're planning a trip to Sevilla and are looking to experience true flamenco, then you should definitely visit Casa de la Memoria. Although any flamenco "show" is intended for tourists, the audience at Casa de la Memoria often includes locals and Spaniards from other parts of the country, which in my opinion, speaks volumes about the caliber of the... more

We went here based on tripadvisor reviews and Rick Steves' recommendations. It was wonderful. It is a rather small courtyard setting, with three rows of chairs around a small stage. It was different than what l expected, but that was probably a case of not knowing what to expect. First a guitar player was alone, then joined by a male... more

My wife and I saw four shows at the Casa de la Memoria, with a different group performing each night. This allowed us to see various styles of Flamenco. It is located in Barrio Santa Cruz. The venue is a courtyard, with U-shaped seating around the dance platform. There are three rows of seats. The front row is excellent, about... more

The Flamenco dancing was very nice. The dancing especially when both dancers were dancing was incredible. The setting was beautiful but it is not planned well. We reserved 1 week before by phone but on the day we got caught in a Semana Santa procession crowd so we arrived only 15 mins before the show started. We paid the normal... more

If you want to see flamenco in an intimate setting, go to Casa de la Memoria, C/Ximenez de Enciso. It's in the Santa Cruz section up behind the Cathedral. Seating is limited so it's advisable to go early. The show takes place in a beautiful patio and the chairs are set up around the stage. This is closer to a... more

Although this is for tourists, the dancing, singing and guitar are authentic, and amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed it all! more

The location of the performance was in the courtyard of a 16th century Jewish house and was only a 5-minute walk from the Hotel Amadeus. There was seating for about 100 people around a floor stage and even though we were 20 minutes early for the 21:00 show, the only seats left were the benches along the back wall. The... more
